Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to the Agora demo. Agora is an early-stage project exploring civic infrastructure for the space between elections. By entering and using this demo, you agree to the following.

This is a demonstration

This is a working demonstration, not a finished product. Features may be incomplete, may change, or may stop working, and the project itself may change significantly or be discontinued.

Real and fictional content

The demo includes two kinds of content. Real content is the legislative activity of real elected officials in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, drawn from public government records. Agora is an independent project β€” it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any elected official, government, or government body, and this content may be incomplete or out of date. Fictional content is a demonstration jurisdiction called Athenia, including fictional officials, parties, and content invented for demonstration purposes; any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental.

Your participation is not real constituent input

The demo includes engagement features such as indicating support for a bill or submitting an idea. At this stage these are for demonstration only. Your input is recorded for the current browser session so you can experience how the platform works. It is not sent to any elected official and does not constitute contacting, lobbying, or communicating with any official or government.

Acceptable use

Please use the demo as intended. Do not attempt to disrupt or misuse it, and do not submit unlawful content.

No warranties

The demo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that information shown is accurate, complete, or current; anything drawn from public records should be verified against the official source linked on each item.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Agora team is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the demo.

Privacy

Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms as the project develops. The "last updated" date reflects the current version.
